Buenos Aires Book Fair 2008

My entrance ticket.
Monday I finally got to visit the book fair, obviously on the last day. I was in a hurry and managed to fetch the spanish edition of these three beautiful titles:

All of them very nice books which I'll try to review in detail in the future.

Printed on the side of a cardboard dual device for takeaway beverages.
One of those little details that I enjoy finding on our usually annoying corporate enviroment. It looks like written by me.

Story of a Weekend Trip

I made a small video with the two clips I asked Yami to take while we were coming back from our weekend at Mar de las Pampas. The clips were intended for passingby.net (and you can see them there by looking right!) but just a couple of hours earlier I had the idea it might be nice to put those together with some music and quick sketching about the trip itself. So I looked and found CamStudio and used it while I played with Photoshop and the Wacom. The music is CC licensed and I got it from Magnatune, both songs are by Arthur Yoria from his album Handshake Smiles.

Footage of sunset from my bedroom's balcony.
Taken with the Canon G7 on half the normal bitrate (thanks CHDK) and then converted the framerate on VirtualDub.

Made with my new thick Edding 390 permanent marker on a big glossy illustration paper. A gift for a hospital room as my goofy attempt for sick children to have something else to look while waiting.

Back and almost gone

I've returned from Australia and I'm off to Germany. I had to make a test post to try Blogger's new features. There are more photos to see at flickr, and several (only a few) of them are geotagged, so you can see where I've been.
